Studying River Hydraulics, Mars, and Tusken Raiders – Middle School Science really can be fun

When your mom who has a background in natural sciences needs to peel potatoes to get a head start on supper but also needs to expand your knowledge concerning rivers you get to learn what “river hydraulics” means when she puts it into the YouTube search bar.

Then you get to watch this awesome video which stops all conversation at the breakfast table. You also get to learn what kind of model they are talking about and discuss if there really is water on Mars.

Tusken Raiders may or may not have also come up in the conversation. (Yeah, that was outside of AO’s year 4 scope and sequence but really was relevant to where the conversation unsurprisingly led.)
