Weekly Meal Plan – August 5, 2012

This week started off with a pretty good meal plan, minus 3 meals I hadn’t thought of yet.  Sunday breakfast went like the menu said … from there it has all changed, twice.  Perhaps then it is a good thing I’m late posting this?  That is my positive look on this.

Also, my husband put his take of lunch this way, “Yeah, never do this again … but I really appreciate your effort.”  That last part meant a lot considering the time it took to do.  (Thanks, Honey!)  I had two new recipes actually in there.  Both were not a hit.  There is another one in the crock pot, a new recipe that is, for supper.  Hoping that one goes better.

Breakfasts:

  1. Crepes, fruit
  2. Cereal
  3. Eggs, toast, fruit
  4. Pumpkin muffins, rusks
  5. Shakes
  6. Oatmeal
  7. Eat out

Lunch:

  1. Spaghetti
  2. Ribs, carrots, peas
  3. Elegant steak dionne, carrots, mashed potatoes
  4. ???
  5. Herb crusted pork chops, sweet potatoes, tomatoes
  6. Pizza
  7. Turkey and BB chili (make extra for freezer if possible), corn bread

Supper:

  1. Salad
  2. Falafel, sliced tomatoes,
  3. Salad
  4. ???
  5. Beef curry, rice, bananas
  6. ???

So I still have three meals that I’m not sure of.

There are also a lot of sides up in the air.  I haven’t focused as much on finding new sides as I have finding new main dishes.  My husband has mentioned this a few times, and I have tried, really.  There are several in my ‘new recipes’ notebook that look good.  They just don’t always seem to get around to being made.  I am trying to work on that.  Today one of the new dishes for lunch was actually a new side, in fact.  Well see if the rest of the week results in a few more of them being tried.
